Some of the Fauna located near the Maori tribes are the Kiwi, the takahe, the kakapo parrot and now extinct Moa. When The Maori first got to New Zealand they saw all these flightless birds and ate them. They kept eating them and now the Moa is extinct and several others are endangered.
